About the role:
Our Corridor Maintenance Outer North team currently have a permanent vacancy for a Facilities Maintainer. Whilst your home station base is Sunshine (Geebung), you may be required to start and finish on site. You will work as part of a team to conduct vegetation maintenance at various yards, sidings and other QR owned sites throughout the network.
Day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include:
- Be present for daily briefings including important safety information
- Use of a work tablet to review and complete work orders
- Complete mowing, whipper snipping, herbicide application, etc
- Travel between sites throughout the network
About you:
- Previous experience of conducting vegetation control including the use of whipper-snippers, mowers (preferably zero turn) and other grounds maintenance & small plant & equipment
- Ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- MR licence highly regarded
