About the Role
Open Sky Disability Services is seeking an experienced Female Support Worker to join our team on a casual basis. This is an urgent recruitment opportunity to support participants with complex needs in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment.
Shift Schedule:
- Monday - 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Tuesday- 2:00 PM - 6:30 AM, Wednesday (Active Sleepover, sleep period 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
- Thursday - 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Thursday (Sleepover)
- Friday - 4:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Saturday (Sleepover)
Please note: These shifts are temporary. Availability of future shifts will depend on operational requirements. Applicants who are not selected for the current vacancies may still be considered and contacted for future opportunities within our casual workforce pool.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hold a current Australian Driver's Licence and be confident driving.
- Live near Baldivis or be willing to travel to the area.
- Be medication competent or willing to undertake training.
- Have completed epilepsy training or be willing to complete the training.
- Have experience supporting participants with mental health needs or a willingness to learn.
- Be comfortable undertaking sleepover shifts.
- Be available for casual work and flexible rostering.
Essential Requirements:
- experience in SIL environments and high-care support
- Full Hoist and Sara Steady operation experience
- Medication Competency Certificate
- Manual Handling Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Valid Australian driver’s licence and reliable transport.
