Care To Heal is an aged care and disability services provider committed to delivering respectful, person-centred support that helps people remain safe, independent and connected within their homes and communities.
We are expanding our allied health services and are seeking a qualified and compassionate Podiatrist to provide in-home services to aged care clients.
Current service areas include Noble Park and surrounding SE suburbs, with opportunities to support clients across additional Melbourne locations as new referrals are received.
About the Role
The Podiatrist will provide podiatry assessments, treatment and ongoing clinical support to older people in their homes.
The role is flexible and referral-based. Referrals will be offered according to client needs, location, practitioner availability and the agreed service arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct podiatry assessments in clients’ homes
- Assess foot health, skin integrity, circulation, mobility and footwear
- Provide routine podiatry care within professional scope
- Support clients with nail, skin and general foot care needs
- Assess and manage foot-related pain and discomfort
- Provide diabetic foot assessments and ongoing monitoring where clinically appropriate
- Identify pressure areas, wounds, infection risks and other clinical concerns
- Provide advice regarding footwear, orthotics and pressure-relieving supports
- Develop individualised treatment and foot care plans
- Educate clients, families and support workers about foot health and risk prevention
- Refer clients to GPs, specialists or other health professionals where required
- Prepare accurate clinical notes, reports and progress updates
- Communicate with Care To Heal, care managers and other members of the client’s care team
- Participate in care planning and multidisciplinary communication where required
- Maintain privacy, confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Deliver services in line with professional standards, aged care requirements and client goals
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A recognised qualification in Podiatry
- Current AHPRA registration as a Podiatrist
- A current police check or an acceptable worker screening clearance
- A valid Australian driver’s licence
- Access to a reliable and appropriately insured vehicle
- Appropriate clinical equipment and infection-control processes for mobile visits
- Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
- The ability to work independently in clients’ homes
- A commitment to person-centred, respectful and culturally safe care
- An understanding of privacy, consent, dignity of risk and professional boundaries
Desirable Experience
- Experience in aged care, community health or mobile podiatry
- Experience supporting older people with diabetes, reduced mobility or chronic health conditions
- Experience with high-risk foot assessment and prevention
- Knowledge of pressure care, wound risk identification and falls prevention
- Experience providing footwear and orthotic recommendations
- Familiarity with aged care service delivery and multidisciplinary care
- Experience preparing reports for care providers or care managers

Engagement Arrangement
This position is intended as a contract or subcontract opportunity. The final arrangement, service rate, travel payment, invoicing process and referral expectations will be confirmed in a written agreement.

- Provide valid insurance documentation
- Issue compliant tax invoices
- Maintain professional registration and screening requirements
- Supply and maintain appropriate clinical equipment
- Follow infection prevention and control requirements
- Manage their own taxation and contractor obligations
