Your new role:
As the Enhanced Recovery after Surgery Prehabilitation Coordinator, you'll provide clinical leadership and drive the implementation of innovative perioperative care pathways that support safer, more efficient surgical journeys. Working closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, nursing, allied health and executive stakeholders, you'll champion evidence-based practice while leading quality improvement initiatives across multiple surgical specialties. In this role you will:
Lead the implementation and ongoing success of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS+) pathways across priority surgical specialties.
Partner with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes, surgical flow, and the delivery of consistent, person-centred perioperative care.
Drive clinical redesign, quality improvement and workforce capability through education, mentoring and evidence-based practice.
Collaborate with statewide ERAS+ leaders and Queensland Health partners to deliver innovative models of care and sustainable service improvements.

Advanced perioperative nursing expertise, with the ability to lead evidence-based clinical practice and influence positive patient outcomes.
Exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, building strong partnerships across multidisciplinary teams and executive stakeholders.
Experience leading quality improvement or clinical redesign initiatives, with the ability to implement sustainable change and achieve measurable results.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
