We are in a strong growth phase, expanding further into Mining, Energy and Resource sectors across NSW and Australia, alongside our core industrial markets.
We are seeking a high-performing Regional Business Development Manager – NSW (Sydney-based) to drive growth across Sydney and regional NSW, and support expansion into Mining, Energy and Resource sectors.
This is a hunter/closer role, not a traditional account management position.
We are looking for someone well networked in NSW who can open doors, develop opportunities, and close business in technical B2B environments.
BHF is an exclusive distributor for leading international filtration manufacturers and is experiencing strong growth in consumables and systems, requiring strong commercial capability and proven sales execution.
Success in this role will come from generating new business, leveraging networks, and closing opportunities, while maintaining key strategic accounts.
Key focus areas include:
Driving new business across Sydney, regional NSW and more broadly across Australia
Developing opportunities in Mining, Energy, Oil & Gas, Hydrogen and Resources
Leveraging networks to build and convert pipeline
Maintaining and growing selected strategic accounts
Understanding customer needs and delivering technical solutions
Supporting entry into new industry sectors
Managing pipeline, forecasting, and sales discipline
Representing BHF at customer sites and industry events
Required strengths:
- Strong commercial drive and closing ability
- Established NSW industry networks (highly valued)
- Ability to operate independently
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Technical curiosity and problem-solving mindset
The ideal applicant will have:
5+ years’ experience in technical sales, BD, or solution selling
Strong network in NSW industrial, mining, energy or infrastructure sectors
Experience in Mining, Oil & Gas, Energy or heavy industry
Strong client relationship and communication skills
Proven track record in winning new business and closing deals
Exposure to filtration, engineering or process industries (advantageous)
Ability to grow across additional sectors over time (e.g. Food & Beverage)
