Across our Operating Theatres, we care for patients undergoing a diverse range of surgical procedures, with varying clinical needs and levels of acuity. As part of the Transition to Speciality Program, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your clinical knowledge and practical skills as a Scrub/Scout Nurse, within a supportive and collaborative perioperative environment.
You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, anaesthetists, perioperative nurses, theatre technicians and other healthcare professionals. With the support of experienced clinicians, educators and leaders, the program provides structured education, hands-on learning and opportunities to build your confidence and competence in the operating theatre environment.
The Transition to Speciality Program is designed to support nurses as they take the next step in their nursing journey, providing a strong foundation in perioperative nursing and opportunities for ongoing professional development.
