Employment Type: Temporary Full Time (01-Feb-2027 to 06-Feb-2028)
Remuneration: $94,521 - $127,827

Requisition ID: CAM30069
The Emergency Medicine SRMO position at Hawkesbury Hospital serves as an introduction to emergency medicine and gives the SRMO a broad experience in emergency medicine and critical care with a view to applying for provisional training with the ACEM. However, it also serves as a general SRMO position for those JMOs who have not yet decided on a final career path or those who may be interested in pursuing GP training or another specialty. SRMOs are responsible for the assessment, investigation and initial management of patients presenting to the Emergency Department. This is under the supervision of the Emergency Physicians, Trainees and CMOs.
During the Emergency Term, the SRMO should develop a sound basic knowledge of Emergency Medicine, the aim being that the SRMO should be able to operate fairly independently and be able manage common ED presentations with little input or advice from more senior colleagues. The development of sound procedural skills is also desirable.
The SRMO may rotate through other departments within Hawkesbury Hospital including Emergency, General Medicine, General Surgery and O&G.
