Introduction
Spring Grove Holdings, incorporating Richmond Dairies, located in Casino, Northern New South Wales, Australia and International Traders and Distributors, located in Casino and Brisbane, Queensland form part of Longley Heritage.
Richmond Dairies produces a range of dairy ingredients for the food manufacturing industry both in Australia and internationally. Richmond Dairies also produces a range of specialty non-dairy ingredients for both the export and domestic markets.
International Traders and Distributors operate temperature-controlled storage and distribution services for both domestic and international markets.
We are seeking to appoint a Senior Operating Officer who will be based at the Casino manufacturing plant. Note that this is an on-site position only.
The SOO will be a key member of the senior management team, reporting to the Director of Australia/Asia operations.
Responsibilities
· Working with the board to develop and review the strategic plan for the businesses.
· Lead the operations team to design business strategies, plans and procedures.
· Implement methods to improve quality, efficiency and productivity.
· Serve as the management liaison to the board, effectively communicate and present critical matters to the board.
· Provide timely, accurate and complete reports to the board, including written reports and presentations on the operating condition of all aspects of the businesses.
· Take part in scheduled online meetings with other business units in the United Kingdom and Uruguay.
· Attract, recruit, and retain required members of the management team.
· Upgrade and implement an appropriate system of policies, internal controls and procedures.
· Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals.
· Lead staff to encourage maximum performance and dedication.
· Represent the organisation to external stakeholders both domestically and internationally.
· Travel domestically and internationally as and when required for the purpose of fulfilling the role.
Working SOO Qualifications/Skills
· Understanding of business functions.
· Demonstrable competency and experience in strategic planning and business development.
· Marketing and business development.
· The ability to communicate at a C1/C2 level in a South American or Asian language would be considered a great advantage.
· A high level of empathy and international cultural awareness.
· Has the legal capacity to live and work in Australia on a permanent basis.

Pay: $180,000.00 – $230,000.00 per year
