Permanent Part-time Warehouse Storeperson with Forklift Licence
We are looking for a reliable warehouse employee and licensed forklift operator to join our small warehouse team.
This position includes one regular four-hour shift each fortnight, with additional shifts available to cover staff sickness, annual leave and other absences.
Backup coverage is a central purpose of this role. The successful applicant must have reasonable weekday availability and be willing to accept additional shifts when available, including some shifts offered at short notice.
Additional shifts are not guaranteed and will be offered based on operational requirements and the employee’s stated availability.
Main duties
- Operating a forklift safely
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Receiving and putting away stock
- Picking and preparing customer orders
- General warehouse organisation and housekeeping
- Assisting with stock control
- Following workplace safety procedures
- Providing additional warehouse coverage when regular employees are unavailable
Essential requirements
- Current Australian forklift licence
- Previous warehouse or forklift experience
- Ability to safely perform manual handling duties
- Reliable transport to Dunheved Circuit, St Marys
- Good communication and time-management skills
- Ability to work safely with limited supervision once trained
- Reasonable weekday availability for additional cover shifts
- Willingness to keep availability current and respond promptly to shift offers
Hours
The position guarantees one regular four-hour shift per fortnight on an agreed day and time.
Additional weekday shifts may be offered to cover sickness, leave, appointments or other staff absences. These shifts may occasionally be offered at short notice.
Applicants should clearly state:
- the weekdays and times they are generally available;
- their earliest available starting time;
- their latest available finishing time; and
- whether they can usually accept short-notice shifts.
The employee will not be required to remain formally on call. However, applicants should only apply if they are genuinely interested in both the regular shift and providing additional backup coverage when reasonably available.

This role may particularly suit someone seeking a small amount of guaranteed extra income each fortnight, with the opportunity to earn additional income through occasional cover shifts.
