Service Stream’s Utilities & Infrastructure division are currently seeking a Finance Business Partner - to join our growing company. You will be responsible for the financial function of the Yarra Valley Water Contract that sits within the Utilities & Infrastructure Division.
Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Coburg
Reporting Line: Finance Manager - Water
Key Responsibilities
As a partner to the Contract Directors & management of the YVW contract, this position is responsible for driving financial outcomes in the Business Unit through providing sound, timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting to decision makers in the unit.
Critical success factors of the role include:

Delivery of outstanding business partnership, trusted counsel, strategic and tactical financial advice to Business Unit.

Delivery of high-quality financial reporting with a strong focus on balance sheet and cash flow management, providing analysis and insight to support decision making.

Ability to work with and influence operational leaders in the Business Unit to adopt sound financial practices and decisions.

Ability to promote a culture of continuous improvement across Business Unit operations.
The role contributes to the overall Service Steam Group through the provision of strong leadership, professional knowledge, and advice in support of the organisation’s Vision and Values

Preparation, analysis and reporting of Business Unit financial results and forecasts.

Develop and prepare insightful financial information and appropriate tools to drive improvements in profitability, cashflow performance and future growth.

Support the preparation and presentation of the annual budget.

Manage the allocation of local overheads including reporting of overheads to local management teams

Management of debtors including weekly reporting and following up outstanding debtors.

Monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including corrections where required.

Provide strong financial leadership, advice and support to Business Unit and Sector leads.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to drive a culture of continual improvement.

Ensure compliance with Service Stream policies and procedures
About You
-
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce or Accounting

CA/CPA
-
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a finance position:

Experience working with operations and field-based teams within a construction, maintenance or similar environment
-
An analytical mind and a solid understanding of common industry practices and ‘best fit’ strategies with regards to financial reporting and controls.

Experience working within a company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) is desirable
