Role: Machine Operator – Casual
We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Machine Operator to join our growing manufacturing team. This is a casual position to support our busy production periods, with the potential to grow into a part-time or full-time role for the right person.
Monday - Friday: 7:30am - 4pm (1:30pm Fridays) + OT when busy

About the role:
As a Machine Operator, you will take ownership of your production line and play a key role in ensuring production runs safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
· Operating and monitoring production machinery to achieve production targets and deadlines
· Assisting with machine start-ups, shutdowns, changeovers, and equipment adjustments
· Learning and operating automated machinery and production line equipment
· Troubleshooting minor equipment issues and escalating maintenance concerns when required
· Performing fast-paced assembly, packing, and production line work
· Packaging finished products into cartons/shippers and stacking onto pallets
· Conducting quality checks, including metal detection, weight verification, seal integrity, and gas checks.
· Ensuring all products meet quality standards and customer specifications
· Maintaining GMP standards and ensuring compliance with food safety requirements
· Cleaning and sanitising equipment in accordance with company procedures and regulations
· Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment
· Accurately completing production documentation and records
Requirements:
· Understanding of quality checks and food safety (GMP, HACCP)
· Ability to read and follow SOPs / work instructions
· Keen eye for detail/quality
· Physically fit for labour intensive work and standing for long periods
· A can-do attitude that can find solutions to problems
· Ability to work in a team and individually
· Rights to work in Australia

Pay: From $30.35 per hour
