About You:
We’re after someone who’s reliable, hardworking, and not afraid to roll up their sleeves. You’ll have a genuine interest in the automotive industry, a strong work ethic, and a positive, can-do attitude. Our ideal candidate will:

Hold a valid Queensland Driver Licence

Hold a valid Queensland White Card

Be available to travel and work between Gold Coast and Brisbane Depot's

Hold a Certificate II in Automotive (strong advantage)

Ability to work in a team environment

Have the ability to use initiative within the workplace

Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Have high attention to detail and exceptional organisation skills

Be extremely reliable and punctual
Successful applicants will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol test.
About the Apprenticeship:
As a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (AUR31120) apprentice, your typical duties will include but not limited to
-
Troubleshooting and carrying out diagnosis procedures
-
Discussing problems with vehicle drivers to discover faults

General workshop duties
-
repair and service cooling systems, diesel fuel systems, air conditioning, engine forced induction systems and clutch assemblies

overhaul, repair and service engines, manual and automatic transmissions, air braking systems and final drive assemblies and repair and service steering and suspension systems
-
Preparing relevant documentation.

Use of specialised equipment and tools.
This full-time 48 month supervised apprenticeship will provide you with in-depth training relevant to the industry and will require an organised and innovative applicant who has the ability to multitask.
