Full Job Description
Marsden Park Education and Care is seeking a qualified, experienced, and passionate Chef/Cook to join our team. In this important role, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our commercial kitchen and preparing fresh, nutritious, and appealing meals for up to 82 children aged 0–6 years.
You will play a vital role in supporting children's health, wellbeing, growth, and development through the provision of high-quality meals and snacks, while ensuring all allergy, cultural, religious, and dietary requirements are met.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Experience and passion for preparing nutritious meals for young children aged 0–6 years
- Previous experience as a Chef or Cook, preferably within an early childhood education and care setting
- Ability to independently manage all kitchen operations, including menu planning, ordering, stock control, food preparation, and compliance requirements
- Strong understanding of food allergies, intolerances, cultural requirements, and safe food handling practices
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Knowledge of nutrition guidelines relevant to young children
- High standards of cleanliness, organisation, and personal presentation
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine commitment to children's health, safety, and wellbeing
Essential Requirements
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Police check undertaken within the past 3 months
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Ability to comply with all relevant food safety, health, and education regulations
- Commitment to child-safe practices and safeguarding children
