Your new role:
As the Pharmacy Assistant Team Lead, you will provide operational leadership to the pharmacy assistant workforce while supporting pharmacists in delivering safe and effective medicines management services. You'll combine your advanced technical expertise with strong people leadership to ensure the pharmacy service continues to deliver exceptional outcomes for patients and the multidisciplinary team.
In this role you will:
Lead and coordinate the daily activities, rostering and development of the pharmacy assistant team.
Support medicines distribution, dispensing, inventory management and electronic imprest systems.
Drive quality improvement initiatives, service innovation and operational efficiencies.
Collaborate with pharmacists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, patient-focused pharmacy services.
About you:
You're an experienced hospital pharmacy professional who enjoys leading people, improving services and creating positive outcomes. You thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment and bring both technical expertise and strong leadership skills to your role.
You will bring:
Certificate IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support (or equivalent) with required imprest qualification.
Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor, coach and support staff performance.
Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, medicines management and quality improvement.
Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills with a collaborative approach.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
