The Opportunity
As the Head of Facilities Management, you will provide strategic leadership across a national FM team, overseeing service delivery, operational performance, and stakeholder engagement. You will lead Senior Facilities Managers, Facilities Managers and Coordinators, ensuring consistent, high‑quality FM outcomes across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic FM Leadership – Drive FM strategy across the WoAG portfolio, aligning operations with Commonwealth estate objectives such as sustainability, energy efficiency, and cost optimisation.
Operational Excellence – Oversee day‑to‑day FM delivery, ensuring KPIs, SOW requirements, and compliance obligations are consistently met.
Data‑Driven Improvement – Use data insights to enhance processes, systems, and service quality.
Risk, Compliance & WHS – Maintain robust risk management frameworks, emergency response plans, and statutory compliance across all sites.
People Leadership – Lead, coach, and develop a dispersed national FM team, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement – Build strong relationships with the Department of Finance, entities, landlords, suppliers, and internal service lines.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Work closely with Leasing, Projects, Finance, Asset Management and other SME functions to deliver integrated solutions.
About You
You are an experienced FM leader with the capability to operate at scale, influence senior stakeholders, and drive operational transformation. You bring:
7+ years leading medium to large teams
Strong FM experience across strategic and operational asset management
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and commercial acumen
Ability to manage risk, compliance, and complex operational environments
Degree or Diploma in Facilities Management (preferred)
Eligibility to obtain NV1 clearance
