We are seeking a highly qualified academic in Management to join the academic team of the Department of Management at Macquarie Business School. This is a balanced teaching & research academic role which will combine elements of research, teaching, leadership and service.
- Salary Package: Level B ($127,138 - $150,425) plus 17% employer’s superannuation, and annual leave loading.
- Appointment Type: Full-time (35 hours per week), continuing position

The Role
We are currently seeking a qualified academic with scholarly expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Entrepreneurship
Strategy
Project Management
Digital innovation
Successful applicants will be expected to make a strong contribution to research and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will be expected to produce high-quality research, publish in top tier journals (Australian Business Deans Council journal ranking A* and A) and actively contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the Department. Successful applicants will join a supportive team of academics who publish in top international journals, excel in teaching, and hold external competitive grants.

About You
You will bring strong commitment to high-quality research and contribute excellent, innovative teaching. You will bring relevant industry experience combined with a PhD in Management. You will engage in high-quality research and publish in relevant areas of management, including entrepreneurship, strategy, digital innovation, operations, or supply chain (e.g., A and A* journals in Management and closely aligned fields [see the Australian Business Deans Council journal rankings]).
Selection Criteria
To be considered for this position, applicants must respond to the selection criteria below and attach as a separate document in the application process.
PhD in Management;
Excellent contributions to scholarship and research in the discipline as evidenced by recent publications in high-quality journals (listed in ABDC ranking as A* and A);
High-quality research in entrepreneurship, strategy, digital innovation, operations, or project management;
Ability to attract industry funding or competitive government funding;
Capacity to undertake service in the Department and School;
A record of high-quality teaching;
Involvement in teaching programme management; and
High quality interpersonal and communication skills and a strong sense of professionalism and integrity related to all academic activities.
