The City of Salisbury is seeking a motivated and customer focused People and Performance Coordinator to join the People and Performance team within Corporate Development.
Reporting to the Senior People and Performance Advisor, you will coordinate high-quality HR services across the organisation, manage and maintain HR systems and records, and oversee the employee lifecycle from onboarding through to offboarding. You will also support continuous improvement and compliance by contributing to the review and enhancement of HR policies, procedures and reporting.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Maintain accurate, compliant and secure HR systems and records.

Oversee confidential retention of employee documentation.
-
Maintain position management data and structure updates.
-
Coordinate pre-employment and compliance checks (VEVO, licences, qualifications).

Manage employment lifecycle changes, contracts and variations.
-
Coordinate probation processes and required documentation.
-
Support accurate payroll during leave periods.

Provide HR process advice to managers and employees.
-
Compile HR metrics and workforce reporting.
-
Support legislative and industrial compliance across HR systems.

Maintain the Register of Interests.
-
Keep HR intranet content current and accessible.

Process HR invoices and raise purchase orders.
About you:
You are a detail-focused HR professional who works well with managers and employees at all levels. You have experience across recruitment, onboarding, employee lifecycle management and HR systems and records within a medium to large organisation.
You will also have:

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Initiative, adaptability and sound judgement.

Knowledge of HR policy and procedure development.
-
Experience in a multidisciplinary HR team.

Strong administrative and organisational skills.

A commitment to customer service excellence.

Understanding of local government operations (desirable).
-
AHRI or equivalent professional membership (desirable).
-
Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR or related field (desirable).
