About the role
Looking for a committed Patient Services Assistant seeking to work within a small team in a community hospital, supporting the nursing staff to provide excellent care to patients admitted to the ward.
The Healesville Ward offers a diverse care environment for patients who reside within the local community and surrounds.
Healesville Hospital is the smallest of the Eastern Health facilities, located on Maroondah Hwy Healesville. The ward is a 15 bed ward that provides Medical, Surgical, Palliative and Geriatric Evaluation and Management services.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
PSA certificate or similar (1 year of EEN Diploma of Nursing or Bachelor of Nursing)
Highly developed interpersonal skills
A strong commitment to high quality care
The ability to work as part of a diverse team
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Proactive and Positive attitude
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
