Details: Join Digital Canberra as a Senior Virtual Platform Specialist and help keep critical ACT Government digital services secure, stable and available. This role provides senior technical support for the virtual server and hosting platforms that underpin government applications and services used across the Territory.
You will work across enterprise virtualisation and hosting environments, supporting platform performance, resilience, upgrades, maintenance and service improvement. The role also contributes to technical design, automation, documentation and advice on future capability. You will work closely with specialist teams across cloud, identity, networks, end-user computing, Unix and databases to support a modern, reliable and secure technology environment.
This role will suit an experienced infrastructure specialist with strong virtual platform expertise who enjoys solving complex technical problems, improving services and contributing to systems that support essential public services.

The successful applicant must possess, or be able to obtain and maintain, an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) clearance.
Notes: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
