Job Description
We are seeking an experienced ESG Governance Manager to join our Legal team, reporting to the General Counsel & Company Secretary.
This newly created role will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing Bapcor's ESG governance framework, regulatory reporting obligations, assurance activities and cross-functional ESG programs.
Acting as the central point of coordination across the Bapcor group of companies, you will work closely with Legal, Finance, Risk, People & Culture, Supply Chain and senior leadership teams to ensure ESG obligations are effectively governed, reported and aligned with regulatory requirements and Board expectations.
This role is ideally suited to someone with experience in ESG, governance, legal, risk, finance or sustainability reporting who enjoys operating across multiple stakeholders and driving outcomes through influence and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and maintain Bapcor's ESG governance framework, policies, reporting obligations and supporting documentation

Lead the delivery of key ESG reporting obligations, including sustainability reporting (ASRS/AASB S2), ESG reporting, Modern Slavery reporting and other mandatory disclosures

Coordinate external assurance, audit and verification activities, ensuring reporting is supported by robust controls, evidence and documentation

Facilitate ESG governance forums and working groups while tracking risks, actions, dependencies and deliverables across the ESG program

Partner with stakeholders across Legal, Finance, Risk, People & Culture, Supply Chain, Property and Strategy to coordinate ESG activities and reporting inputs

Monitor ESG performance metrics, oversee data governance processes and support progress reporting against ESG targets and commitments

Prepare ESG reporting and governance materials for the Board, Audit & Risk Committee and ESG Committee, ensuring consistency and quality of disclosures

Monitor emerging ESG regulations and reporting requirements, recommending governance and reporting enhancements where required
Qualifications
You are a highly organised governance professional who can effectively coordinate complex reporting programs and build strong relationships across a broad range of stakeholders.
You will bring:

5+ years' experience in ESG, sustainability, legal, risk, finance or a related discipline

Experience managing ESG governance, compliance and reporting obligations in a listed environment

Experience coordinating assurance, audit or regulatory reporting programs

Understanding of ESG and sustainability reporting frameworks such as ASRS, ISSB, TCFD, GRI and Modern Slavery reporting

Exposure to Board and Committee governance processes

Strong project management, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills
-
Ability to influence outcomes and drive accountability
