We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Child Care Worker to join our center. You
will lead, support, and inspire a dedicated team while delivering exceptional education
and care. As a Child Care Worker you will work in collaboration to plan and deliver high
quality, innovative programs that caters to the developmental needs and interest of the
children in their care. The successful applicant will build and maintain positive
relationships with children, their families and colleagues to ensure respect, safe
environment.
Some of the duties and responsibility are:
Providing care and supervision to children in accordance with approved childcare
practices and service policies.
Support children's emotional, social, cognitive, language, and physical
development through age-appropriate activities and interactions.
Supervise and ensure the safety and wellbeing of children at all times.
Planning and assisting with play-based learning activities, including indoor and
outdoor experiences.
Observe children's behaviour and development and report any concerns to
supervising educators.
Encourage positive behaviour and support children's social development and
interpersonal skills.
Assist children with daily routines, including meals, personal hygiene, toileting,
rest periods, and transitions between activities.
Prepare educational materials, resources, and equipment for children's learning
experiences.
Read stories, play games, and engage children in creative and recreational
activities.
Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment for children.
Follow centre policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and
safety, hygiene, and safe sleep practices.
Support the inclusion of all children and promote a positive and respectful
learning environment.
Communicate professionally with parents, guardians, educators, and other staff
members regarding children's daily activities and wellbeing.
Assist in maintaining accurate records and documentation as required by the
service.
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development
activities.

About you
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive
relationships with children, families, colleagues, and members of the wider
community.
Demonstrated ability to effectively implement workplace policies, procedures, and
practices, and utilise available resources to support children's learning and
development.
Sound knowledge of health, safety, hygiene, first aid, workplace health and
safety (WHS), and risk management principles within an early childhood
education and care environment.
Minimum of one year of relevant experience working in an early childhood
education and care setting.
Hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and/or Certificate III in
Early Childhood Education and Care, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively
within a team environment.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and
maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children.
Demonstrated commitment to supporting children's wellbeing, learning, and
development in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
