About the Role
Macquarie Dental Care is seeking a reliable, organised and motivated person to join our team as a Dental Assistant and Receptionist.
This is a combined clinical and front-office role. You will support our dentists during patient appointments while also helping manage reception, bookings and patient enquiries.
For the right person, we will provide practical, hands-on training and ongoing professional development to help you become confident and established in both dental assisting and dental reception.
Key ResponsibilitiesDental Assisting
- Preparing treatment rooms, instruments and materials
- Assisting dentists during clinical procedures
- Cleaning and sterilising instruments
- Following infection-control and workplace safety procedures
- Maintaining stock levels and ensuring rooms are organised
- Helping appointments run efficiently and on time
- Supporting patients and helping them feel comfortable
Reception Duties
- Welcoming patients in a warm and professional manner
- Answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- Managing patient records and administrative tasks
- Processing payments and health-fund claims
- Following up patients and supporting recall systems
- Coordinating communication between patients, clinicians and the practice team

Previous dental experience is an advantage; however, applicants with the right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

About Macquarie Dental Care
Our practice is conveniently located in Macquarie, opposite Jamison Plaza.
As a team, we are known for putting our patients’ needs first and delivering excellent dental care, value and customer service.
This position will be busy, demanding and highly rewarding for the right person.
Working Hours and Availability
The practice operates during the following hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8:30 am–6:00 pm
- Saturday: 9:00 am–2:00 pm
The successful applicant must be flexible with their roster and available to work Saturdays and occasional after-hours or weekend shifts when required. Specific full-time hours and the regular roster will be discussed during the interview.
