About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our leadership team as a Resident Services Manager at Deborah Cheetham Retirement Village in Ocean Grove. This is a Full Time role working Monday to Friday 830 to 430. Flexibility is a must, as part of the role you're required to be on call.
At Ryman, our Resident Services Manager wears many hats; leading with kindness and clarity, this role is a key player in our multi-disciplinary village leadership team. Whilst working closely with the Village Manager, Clinical Manager and Facilities Manager, in this role you will:
- Lead the effective delivery of the Village service functions which includes our kitchen, housekeeping, laundry and administration teams
- Have oversight for all risk management and health and safety related processes for the village
- Be responsible for Human Resource tasks within the village including inductions, recruitment, training, performance reviews and payroll assistance
- Actively managing the roster for Auxiliary teams ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained
- Provide leadership at the Village in the absence of the Village Manager
About you

- Have proven management experience with a preference for Health and Safety experience/training
- Be skilled at juggling conflicting priorities
- Enjoy building meaningful relationships with our staff, our residents and their families
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of continuous improvement systems and processes
- Place a high emphasis on customer service and work hard to deliver exceptional service to our residents
- Be an outstanding communicator that is both professional and empathetic
