Mamamia is Australia's largest independent women's media group and our core purpose is to make the world a better place for women and girls. We reach seven and a half million women each month across written, video and social platforms and we have the largest women's podcast network in the world with 55 different shows.
About the role
We are looking for a dynamic and creative Lead Video Producer to guide our talented Video and Audio Producer teams while staying truly hands-on with the craft you love. Sitting right at the intersection of leadership and creation, you'll set the creative and technical benchmark for Mamamia's video content across platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Spotify. You'll lead and support our day-to-day production workflows, partner with commercial teams on high-impact brand campaigns, and bring your flair to high-priority edits. If you're an experienced leader who still loves stepping into the edit suite and is passionate about empowering a team to tell stories through video and audio, this role is made for you.
Here's some of the stuff you can expect to be doing if you join us:
-
Lead, roster, and mentor our passionate Video and Audio Producer teams to keep workflows running smoothly and efficiently.
-
Personally film, edit, and produce high-calibre video content across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Mamamia's platforms.
-
Act as the creative and technical point of contact for Commercial and Brand Partnerships to scope and deliver engaging branded video content.
-
Conduct QC checks across output to ensure our content consistently hits high-quality, on-brand standards.
-
Collaborate closely with hosts, producers, and cross-functional teams to bring exciting creative visions to life.
-
Drive production innovation by exploring and adopting AI-assisted editing tools and streamlined workflows.
-
Keep your finger on the pulse of industry trends and platform updates, translating insights into fresh direction for the team.
-
Support the Head of Content Operations & Production by proactively resolving production issues, resourcing gaps, and workflow blockers.
Now, a bit about you
-
Proven experience as a senior video producer with a track record of managing, mentoring, or rostering a team.
-
Deeply hands-on approach-you're as comfortable leading a team check-in as you are picking up a camera or editing complex content.
-
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (and Adobe Creative Cloud), with strong skills in lighting, framing, and audio capture.
-
Experience with AI-assisted tools (like AutoCut) and workflow management platforms like Monday.com and Slack.
-
Strong cross-departmental operator who can confidently communicate and scope commercial opportunities with brand partners.
-
Excellent judgment under pressure, balancing the needs of our audience, hosts, and commercial partners.
-
Collaborative team player who communicates with honesty, curiosity, and respect, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
