About the Team
Children's Health Queensland (CHQ) is committed to leading a research agenda which is informed by the clinical needs of Queensland children and their families. By focusing our research on primary and secondary preventative health measures, better care and improving health service delivery, we will improve the health outcomes of children and young people.
Through grants, partnerships, government funding and the children's hospital foundation we are able to invest in research to help find the answers to a range of child and adolescent health issues.
The CCHR is designed to place Queensland at the forefront of child and adolescent health research. It brings dedicated paediatric researchers together under one roof. The goal is to create a critical mass of expertise and specialist knowledge focused on translating research findings into better care for Queensland children and their families.
While the facility will house more than 450 researchers, its design allows for expansion and growth to ensure the needs of Queensland's children's health research are met now and in the future.
About the Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) in research provides excellent nursing care that supports clinicians and researchers with research-based activities undertaken within the Clinical Research Facility. The RN works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and in accordance with recognised clinical and research standards to optimise and achieve high quality research outcomes for patients and their family. The role will support the coordination of education programs, training and resources for a range of multidisciplinary staff and partner organisations.
