About the role
The purpose of this position is to develop and implement strategies to promote and sell delegate seats at Akolade's events or conferences. This position is critical in the success of an event in achieving and exceeding sales and profitability targets.

Akolade is a fast growing and innovative corporate event company committed to growing large scale events within distinct sectors including government, health care / aged care, supply chain and Indigenous.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Conduct research on each event to identify potential delegates and attendees.
- Build a list of potential leads in HubSpot through research (directories, exhibitions, association members, etc.).
- Identify customer needs and pain points, and recommend suitable conferences and channels as solutions.
- Follow up regularly with leads to secure commitment and close sales.
- Use HubSpot to track and report on all sales activities and pipelines.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients.
- As required, attend on-site events and liaise with clients on site
- Address and resolve any issues or complaints to maximize satisfaction.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and objectives within set timelines.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to coordinate the sales effort.
- Update, maintain, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of processes and systems.
- Stay informed on industry trends and developments.
- Continuously improve through feedback.
- Participate in team meetings and share ideas and insights.
Qualification and experience required
- At least a Bachelor and 2 years of work experience in technical sales
- Knowledge of Educational Products and Services
- Experience in the conferencing or events industry is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
