About the role
As a Plumber with Metro North Health, you will play a critical role in maintaining the essential infrastructure that supports patient care and daily hospital operations. This hands-on position involves working across a diverse range of plumbing systems and assets within a complex healthcare environment, where reliability, safety, and responsiveness are paramount. You will be responsible for diagnosing faults, performing maintenance and repairs, and contributing to minor works and system upgrades, ensuring all services remain compliant and operational.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Comply with and utilise procedures, policies, regulations, and standards which impact upon the position, including contemporary human resource management requirements and practices including Code of Conduct.
Manage own leave balances to ensure at all times that Annual Leave entitlements held do not surpass 6 weeks of accrued leave without approval from the Manager BEMS.
Actively participate in the annual PDP process.
Maintain personal licences and any assigned annual training requirements, to ensure that they are always current. Complete and maintain current status in all required training including face to face and online training.
Position will be required to work a mix of inside core hours service delivery, outside core hours delivery and rotating on call 24/7 roster to meet the requirements of the facilities.
