What does the job look like?
As a Transport Coordinator within our Government & Defence team, you’ll play a key role in coordinating subcontractor freight movements and ensuring seamless, compliant operations across our network. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, values accuracy, and enjoys working closely with both internal teams and external partners. Key areas:
Coordinate daily freight movement requirements across W&D sites and Defence customers
Cost and quote freight movements in line with contracted rates and policies
Identify and escalate issues requiring immediate attention
Ensure subcontractor compliance with COR, NHVR standards and Linfox requirements
Support continuous improvement initiatives across distribution processes
Maintain accurate documentation, reporting and general administrative support

An interest in transport, freight or logistics operations
Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems (experience with SAP is a bonus, not essential)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and ask questions
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Understanding of workplace safety and willingness to follow security requirements (must be able to obtain a Baseline Clearance)
