Business Manager
Full-Time | Work From Home | Based in Perth with regular travel to Karratha
About Us
Karratha Cleaning has been delivering trusted commercial and industrial cleaning services across Karratha, Wickham, Point Samson, and Roebourne since 2012. We work with a broad client base including local government and industry, and pride ourselves on reliability, responsiveness, and long-term client relationships.
About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Business Manager to lead the day-to-day operations, administration, and performance of Karratha Cleaning on an initial fixed term of 18 months, with the arrangement reviewed closer to the end date based on business needs.
Reporting to the Directors, you’ll direct our Operations Manager and wider team, and take end-to-end accountability for client service delivery, safety, financial management, compliance, and continuous improvement — ensuring the business runs effectively, safely, and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and direct the Operations Manager and wider team, including recruitment, contracts, onboarding, and employee relations
- Own service delivery across all client contracts, including government contract compliance and quality assurance
- Drive business development — quoting, tendering, and growing existing client relationships
- Manage financial administration: invoicing, billing, payroll, cash flow, and statutory payments
- Hold overall accountability for Health, Safety & Environment compliance and culture
- Compliance audits and policy management
- Drive process and systems improvement across the business
- Report regularly to the Directors
About You
- Proven experience in an operations, business, or contract management role
- Experience managing or supervising staff, including remote or dispersed teams
- Strong financial literacy — invoicing, payroll, and financial administration experience highly regarded
- Experience with government and private contracts
- A Bachelor of Commerce (or equivalent)
- Excel and Deputy skills are desirable but not essential
- Comfortable managing competing priorities across operations, finance, safety, and client relationships, with the flexibility to respond to issues outside standard hours when needed
- Current WA Driver’s Licence and willingness to obtain relevant site inductions
What We Offer
- Competitive renumeration, commensurate with experience
- A genuinely broad leadership role with real autonomy and Director-level exposure
- Work from home
