About the Role
Based at our Seven Hills facility, this role primarily involves sewing and assembling upholstery covers for commercial office seating.
You'll be working with a range of fabrics and materials to produce high-quality products that meet Advanta's quality standards and customer expectations.
This is a full-time position working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, offering stability, consistent hours, and the opportunity to become part of a collaborative manufacturing team.
What You'll Be Doing
Sewing & Upholstery Production
Sew upholstery covers using commercial sewing equipment.
Work from patterns and production specifications.
Operate industrial sewing machinery including:
Single needle machines
Overlock machines
Blind hem machines
Maintain high workmanship and quality standards.
Production Planning
Follow production schedules and priorities.
Ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets.
Stock & Materials
Assist with fabric stock control and inventory management.
Ensure efficient use of materials and minimise waste.
Team Support
Assist with other production-related tasks as required.
Contribute positively to a safe, productive, and supportive team environment.
Skills and Experiences:
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years' experience operating industrial sewing machines.
Experience sewing fabrics in a commercial manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good verbal and written English communication skills.
High level of organisation and time management.
Basic Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
Highly Regarded
Upholstery sewing experience.
Experience within furniture manufacturing.
Knowledge of health and safety practices within manufacturing environments.
