1 physically strong Pastry Cook Assistant required for wholesale bakery in Dandenong South VIC 3175
Pay: $32.18 per hour (up to $34.96 per hour depending on experience and qualifications)
Full-time, 7am – 3pm or 8am- 4pm Monday – Friday

The role:
We are seeking a Pastry Cook Assistant for mixing, weighing, following recipes, including lifting 25kg bags of ingredients, depositing, prepping tray, piping, spatula use. No previous experience required if the applicants are physically strong and keen to learn. There will be thorough training on the job. Food manufacturing experience and culinary arts qualifications an advantage.
The role will require lifting 25kg (e.g., sacks of flour) multiple times throughout the shift. You will be working in a team, assisting in the manufacturing of cakes, slices, cronuts and more. As a wholesaler, we make large batches of any one item.
The very best candidates will already have mixing and weighing experience, gained from working in a fast-paced food production bakery environment, and relevant qualifications, however we are also making this position open to those who are physically strong and keen to learn. Employees are encouraged to expand and improve their range of skills in the industry, with the potential for advancement within the company.
Essential characteristics:
. physically strong, able to repeatedly lift 25 kg.
· excellent written and spoken English
· ability to follow recipes
· ability to accurately fill out HACP paperwork (batch records with ingredient information)
· detail orientated, consistently taking great pride in your work
· ability to learn new skills and new machinery
· ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment
· ability to use equipment safely
· able to start shifts from 7am, Monday to Friday, working 38 hours
