We are seeking an organised, friendly and professional Child Care Administration Assistant to join our team. This is a permanent part-time position offering flexible working arrangements of 2–3 days per week, with 5–7.5 paid hours per day, plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
As the Child Care Administration Assistant, you will provide high-quality administrative support to the service, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the centre while building positive relationships with children, families, educators and the leadership team. This role plays an important part in supporting regulatory compliance and delivering quality early childhood education and care.
Key Responsibilities
-Provide day-to-day administrative support, including reception duties, phone and email enquiries, filing and document management.
-Welcome families and visitors and act as the first point of contact for enquiries and service tours.
-Support enrolments and maintain accurate child, family and service records.
-Perform accurate data entry and maintain confidential records.
-Update and maintain OWNA, our childcare management system, including enrolments, attendance records, family information and documentation.
-Support Child Care Subsidy (CCS) administration, invoicing and fee processing.
-Assist with regulatory and compliance requirements, including maintaining documentation and records.
-Provide administrative support to the Centre Director and leadership team.
-Maintain confidentiality and contribute to a professional and positive workplace.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Australian working rights.
A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Experience with accurate data entry and maintaining electronic records.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn or use childcare management systems such as OWNA (experience with OWNA is highly regarded).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
A willingness to complete child safety training.
A genuine commitment to child safety, wellbeing and providing excellent customer service.
