After carpenters on hourly rate for multiple domestic and commercial projects.
Full time is available for the right applicant.
Work will include, framing, lock-up, fixing, cladding, fit-off.
Pay is subjects to experience.
MUST have license and white card. Carpenters must have basic tools.
Job Roles -
- Study drawings and specifications to determine materials, dimensions and installation procedures.
- Measure, cut, shape and assemble timber, plywood and other construction materials.
- Erect wall frames, roof framing, floor structures and related building frameworks.
- Install doors, windows, skirting, architraves, cladding and other timber fixtures.
- Prepare accurate layouts for construction, installation and renovation carpentry works.
- Select suitable timber, hardware and materials for each assigned building task.
- Construct, renovate and repair residential and commercial structures and fittings.
- Verify levels, alignment and trueness of completed frameworks and installed structures.
- Assemble prepared timber components ready for installation on construction projects.
- Use carpentry tools, machinery and equipment safely and accurately on site.
- Maintain clean, organised and efficient work areas across active construction sites.
Minimum requirements -
- At least 1 year of work experience in constructing, installing, renovating and repairing timber structures, fixtures and building frameworks.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, measurements and installation requirements accurately.
- Practical experience using carpentry tools, machinery and equipment safely across residential or commercial sites.
- Sound knowledge of timber materials, fixings, framing methods and general construction site practices.
- Ability to complete accurate measuring, cutting, shaping, fitting and installation work to trade standards.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements relevant to active construction environments.
- Reliable communication and teamwork skills when working with supervisors, tradespeople, suppliers and clients.
