The Opportunity
As the Senior HSE Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the safe delivery of the New Mandurah Hospital Project. Working closely with project leaders, subcontractors and site teams, you'll provide expert guidance, influence positive safety behaviours and ensure HSE risks are proactively managed throughout the project lifecycle.
Success in this role will see you:
- Partner with project leadership to create and maintain a strong safety culture across site
- Provide trusted advice on health, safety and environmental risks, controls and compliance requirements
- Lead incident investigations, identify root causes and drive meaningful corrective actions
- Conduct audits, inspections and site reviews to ensure effective implementation of HSE systems and controls
- Analyse HSE performance trends and influence continuous improvement initiatives across the project
- Coach and mentor site personnel and emerging HSE professionals to build capability and accountability
This role is based on the New Mandurah Hospital Project. Ideally, you will live south of the river or be comfortable commuting daily to Mandurah.
What we are looking for
We're looking for an experienced HSE professional who thrives in a project environment and enjoys building strong relationships with site teams, subcontractors and stakeholders. You'll be a confident communicator who can influence others, build trust and bring practical solutions to complex challenges.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in a senior HSE role within commercial building construction, ideally on large-scale or complex building projects
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, environmental requirements and industry best practice
- Demonstrated success supporting major projects and managing complex HSE risks
- Experience leading incident investigations, audits and continuous improvement initiatives
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in WHS, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management or a related discipline
- A proactive, collaborative approach and genuine commitment to creating safer workplaces
