TARTE BEACH HOUSE has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Pastry Cook to join our team.
We are looking for a passionate and skilled pastry professional who takes pride in producing high-quality pastries, baked goods and desserts from scratch using fresh ingredients and consistent production methods.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing, baking and finishing a range of pastries, cakes, tarts and other baked goods
- Producing doughs, batters, fillings, creams and glazes from scratch
- Monitoring product quality, baking times and presentation standards
- Decorating and presenting pastry items to Tarte Beach House standards
- Maintaining a clean, organised and food-safe pastry section
- Working collaboratively with the kitchen team in a fast-paced commercial environment
- Assisting with stock control, ordering preparation and wastage reduction where required
Applicants for this position should:
- Have relevant formal qualifications in baking, patisserie, pastry or a related commercial cookery field
- Have at least 1 year of relevant full-time experience in addition to formal qualifications
- In some cases, 3–5 years of relevant full-time experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications
- Have experience working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen or bakery environment
- Be organised, reliable and hardworking
- Have strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for pastry, baking and quality food production
- Be able to work well as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude under pressure
- Be committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and product consistency
Remuneration
The position offers a full-time base salary of $76,515.00 plus superannuation.
