Job Description
As a Food and Beverage Team Leader at Novotel Melbourne South Wharf, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. We are seeking a confident and motivated individual who can lead our team during breakfast, lunch or evening shifts, ensuring all of our food and beverage services operate smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and delegate duties to ensure smooth daily operations in our outlets

Oversee the set-up, service, and breakdown of dining and bar areas, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for guests

Communicate feedback and key information to the Food & Beverage leadership team

Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction by promptly addressing any concerns or special requests

Lead by example and conduct team training to align with Novotel brand and service standards
-
Monitor rosters and staffing schedules to meet operational requirements
-
Ensure the proper handling and settlement of customer accounts using our POS system.

Liaise with the kitchen team to ensure the highest standard of food quality and visual appeal
Qualifications

A service-focused personality with a genuine interest in food and beverage
-
Demonstrated experience in leading a team successfully

Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead by example
-
Confidence running shifts independently, and monitoring team member performance
-
Experience in espresso coffee making and bartending will be highly regarded
-
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food handling best practices
-
A current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)

Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and public holidays - please include your availability in your application
