WHAT THE ROLE ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE
Day to day, you'll be developing and delivering Positive Behaviour Support Plans grounded in evidence, ethics and genuine relationship. Some days that's methodical and process-driven. Some days it's sitting with a family in a really hard moment and helping them find a way through.
More specifically, you'll be:
- Assessing participants' needs and developing interim and comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans
- Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments to understand what's driving behaviours of concern
- Lodging BSPs with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as required
- Identifying, reporting on, and actively working toward the elimination of restrictive practices
- Providing training and support to participants and their circles of support
- Monitoring, reviewing and updating plans throughout the year
- Navigating cross-border requirements between NSW and VIC where relevant
- Meeting NDIS reporting requirements and keeping accurate, up-to-date records

IS THIS YOU?
You'll feel right at home here if:
- You hold a relevant degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Allied Health, or Behavioural Science
- You've been assessed as suitable at Proficient level by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission - you can independently develop behaviour support plans for participants with moderate complexity, including in some restrictive practice contexts
- You're ready to work now - and you bring an existing caseload, networks or referral relationships with you
- You lead with curiosity and ethics, not just compliance
- You communicate clearly, write well under pressure, and meet your deadlines
- You can hold complexity without rushing to resolve it
- You're comfortable navigating cross-border complexity between NSW and VIC
- You're drawn to strengths-based, community development practice - not just service coordination
- Training in Person-Centred Thinking, ABCD or Art of Hosting is a genuine plus
You might find this role frustrating if you're not yet confident working across jurisdictions, or if you need a structured induction period before picking up a caseload. We're looking for someone who can step in and start making a real difference straight away - someone who sees the border as a feature, not a complication.

We're specifically looking for practitioners assessed as suitable at Proficient level by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Proficient practitioners can independently develop behaviour support plans for participants with moderate complexity needs, including in some restrictive practice contexts.

HOW PAY WORKS
This role is paid under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS Award MA000100) at the appropriate classification level based on your qualifications and experience.

As this role may involve working with participants in both NSW and VIC, WWCCs are required in both states.
