What you'll be doing
As the Director Allied Health and Priority Communities, you will provide executive leadership across a broad portfolio of community-based multidisciplinary services while ensuring strong professional governance for allied health professionals across Integrated & Community Health.
In this highly influential leadership role, you will drive strategic planning, service development, workforce sustainability and operational excellence to deliver safe, effective and person-centred care.
- Lead the operational management of Child & Family Health and Priority Communities programs, including Aboriginal Health, Multicultural Health, Youth Health and Violence Prevention services
- Provide strategic leadership, professional governance and clinical oversight for the allied health workforce across Integrated & Community Health
- Partner with senior executives and stakeholders to shape innovative models of care, enhance service delivery and improve health outcomes
- Oversee financial, workforce and resource management, ensuring sustainable and efficient service delivery
- Champion quality, safety, research, education, workforce development and continuous improvement initiatives across services

Selection Criteria:
1. Tertiary qualifications in Allied Health and relevant professional registration. Where professional registration does not exist, membership or eligibility for practising membership of relevant peak professional body/association would be acceptable.
2. Post graduate qualifications in health services management/ equivalent experience/ willingness to work towards post graduate experience in management
3. Demonstrated successful experience at a senior level in the public and/or private sector in the effective formulation, implementation and monitoring of key initiatives within a complex environment.
4. Broad high-level clinical and operational management experience within a complex health environment with demonstrated experience in strategic design.
5. Demonstrated, knowledge and experience in management of complex human resource and administrative matters.
6. Proven ability to provide strategic and operational leadership at a senior level across a large and diverse range of services and teams, including experience with change management and complex decision making
7. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to demonstrate written and oral communication to suit a wide variety of stakeholder groups.
8. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of methodology in clinical governance, continuous improvement, quality initiatives and risk management
