Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland provides high-quality provision of care to families across the Diocese of Townsville, which stretches from Ingham in the North, Proserpine in the South, Mount Isa in the West and Palm Island to the East. We have grown to include 5 Early Learning Centres, 9 Kindergartens and 14 Outside School Hours Care centres.
With a strong emphasis on play-based learning, Kirwan Kindergarten supports children’s early literacy, numeracy, and social development while nurturing a love for learning among the youngest members of the local community. Located within the Ryan Catholic College Junior School campus, the centre offers a welcoming, community-focused environment.
About the position
Kirwan Kindy is seeking Inclusion Support Educators to join our team. These casual positions are funded for approximately 5 hours per day, typically from 9:00am–2:00pm Monday to Friday, with the potential for additional hours up to 5:00pm depending on operational needs.
As an Inclusion Support Educator, you will play an important role in supporting inclusive practice across the service. You will work alongside educators to ensure children with diverse needs are fully supported to participate in the program, helping to create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where every child feels valued, included, and able to thrive.
What We’re Looking For:
- Hold, or be working towards, a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
- Experience supporting children with additional needs and behaviours.
- A current Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card)
- Current First Aid Certificate including CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis training, or willingness to obtain these certifications
