About The ECT Role
In this role, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to advocating children and aligning with Insight Early Learning’s philosophy of Wisdom, Innovation, Sustainability and Equity.
The Early Childhood Teacher will lead the Preschool program and support the delivery of high-quality educational experiences that encourage exploration, creativity and critical thinking.
A typical day may include:
- Leading the Preschool educational program in line with EYLF and NQF
- Creating engaging, play-based learning environments that support children’s development
- Using the environment as the “third teacher”, incorporating open-ended resources and loose parts
- Building strong partnerships with families and the wider community
- Collaborating with educators to reflect on and strengthen educational practices
- Supporting children’s social, emotional and cognitive development
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood), or ACECQA-approved equivalent
- Strong ECT experience in a long day care setting
- Sound knowledge of the NQF, NQS and EYLF
- Current and valid NSW Working with Children Check (essential)
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates, or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Commitment to supporting children’s rights, learning and wellbeing
- Experience with Xplor or similar childcare management systems is advantageous but not essential
