Role Type: 10-month parental leave cover contract
Hours: Part time – 22.8 hours per week
Salary: $96,365 - $105,325 p.a plus super (pro rata)
The opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Research Nurse to support the delivery of innovative clinical trials in respiratory diseases including Cystic Fibrosis, Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia and Asthma. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary research team, you will play a key role in participant care, study coordination and clinical trial delivery while contributing to research that improves patient outcomes. This role is a 10-month parental leave cover contract offered on a part time basis at 22.8 hours per week.
What you’ll do
Assists with patient recruitment and ensures appropriate informed consent processes are followed, including discussions regarding treatment, alternatives and possible risks
Collects samples of blood, urine, sweat samples and perform ECGs
Evaluates patients for safety and assures optimum health care
Collates clinical data and maintains the database
Liaises closely with monitors of funding pharma companies providing them with regular updates as required on clinical trials and reporting of any adverse events
What you’ll bring
Bachelor of Nursing
Applicable Nursing Registration – Division 1 with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Appropriate level of expertise gained from a combination of experience and or training
Knowledge and clinical experience with paediatric medicine
Ability to prioritise tasks and demonstrate a professional demeanour in time management
