Join our Roads & Traffic Team, dedicated to keeping our community safe, accessible, and well-regulated. We currently have a permanent full-time and temporary full-time (up to 12 months) opportunity available in our team.
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Parking Officer to conduct foot patrols and enforce parking and traffic regulations in our local government area. You will:
- Patrol streets and designated car parks to ensure compliance with parking and traffic legislation
- Investigate abandoned vehicles, littering, vehicle “for sale” complaints, boat trailer issues and other related offences
- Issue penalty notices or warnings as appropriate and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with local police, community groups and other stakeholders
- Represent Council in court and prepare reports as required
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A NSW Driver’s License
- Strong customer service skills and experience
- Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- The ability to follow procedures, apply legislation, and work independently
- (Desirable) Completion of a parking enforcement course or experience in issuing penalty notices
- (Desirable) Knowledge of the Local Government Area

- Package: $69,785-$77,297 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation. (Plus weekend penalty rates as worked).
- Hours of work: Permanent Full Time and a Temporary Full Time (up to 12 months) opportunity. Working 38 hours per week, 9 day fortnight. Applicants must be available to work a range of shifts across a 7 day spread.
