As a GMW Rollerspotter at Wilmar Sugar and Renewables, during the crushing season (June to Dec) you will be responsible for performing routine gas metal arc welding (hard facing) on mill rollers, operating and maintaining automated and stick welding equipment, and assisting with the upkeep of plant and equipment. The role also requires accurate process documentation and strict adherence to quality standards and procedures. During the maintenance season (Jan to May) you will perform a range of duties varying from general mill worker to CUC competency work as directed by your Supervisor.
This is a permanent position located at Invicta Mill in the Burdekin Region.

Your Winning Combination
Our ideal candidate would have the following skills:
- MEM05050 - Perform routine gas metal arc welding
- MEM05012 - Perform routine manual metal arc welding
- MEM11011 - Undertake manual handling
- MEM13015 - Work safely and effectively in manufacturing and engineering
- Overhead (Gantry) Crane Ticket
- Dogging High Risk Work Licence
- Cert III in Engineering Fabrication - desirable but not essential
- Working at Heights - desirable but not essential
- Confined Space - desirable but not essential
A Trade background is desired but not essential to fill this role, a willingness to learn new skills and work as a key part of the production team are strong attributes for this role. On the job training will be provided for the successful applicant.
