About the Role: Daishsat is seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team in Murray Bridge, SA. In this full-time position, you’ll play a key role in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of a wide range of metal products and structures that support our field operations. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established and respected company in the mining services industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, and modify components including sheet metal using aluminium, mild steel, stainless steel, and galvanised steel.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to fabricate and assemble metal components.
- Operate a variety of metalworking tools and equipment — including MIG and TIG welders, plasma cutters, folders, and guillotines.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure all work meets required standards and specifications.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workspace in compliance with safety procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and timely project completion.
About You:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in metal fabrication.
- Previous experience with supervision of a small number of staff and external contractors
- Previous experience designing, fabricating and maintenance
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in MIG and TIG welding of mild steel, aluminium, and stainless steel to a high standard.
- Strong ability to interpret and work from technical drawings.
- Confident using metal fabrication equipment, including plasma cutters, folders, and guillotines.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software will be highly regarded.
