Your new role as Boilermaker reports into the Fabrication Supervisor based in Welshpool.
About Welshpool
The Mining Rebuilds workshop at Welshpool, WA, offers cost-effective rebuilds and repairs for Caterpillar equipment. We specialise in certified rebuilds, powertrain components, and custom solutions, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Location: Welshpool / FIFO
Roster: 7Days On, 7Days Off 12.5hrs (Inlcusive of an 30min unpaid meal break)
What you'll do:
Completing boilermaker and welding work across new machines and machine rebuilds
Work across a variety of projects including but not limited to FIFO/DIDO work
Skills & Experience:
Australian Recognised Boilermaker Welder Trade Certification
Experience working autonomously
Ability to pass 3g / 4g flux core weld test prior to starting.
Proficiency in Flux Core, MIG and TIG welding techniques
Ability to read off special instructions, service letters and fabrication drawings
Minimum of LR for the ability to use the field service truck.
Current high-risk licence – forklift, dogging and rigging (Desirable) - or be willing to obtain
Experience in heavy and light fabrication
Experience with generator welders
Experience with large mining equipment including dozers, off highway trucks, graders, drills and excavators and ancillary parts (Desirable)
