Assistant Venue Manager / Bar Manager – Union Hotel Brunswick

The Union Hotel Brunswick is looking for an experienced, hands-on Assistant Venue Manager / Bar Manager to join our leadership team.
We're a busy neighbourhood pub with a reputation for great beer, quality food, genuine hospitality and a strong local following. We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading from the front, and takes pride in building high-performing teams.
About the role
· Leading and developing our front-of-house bar team
· Running busy service periods with confidence
· Staff training and coaching
· Rostering and labour management
· Stock control, ordering and stocktakes
· Maintaining beverage quality and presentation
· Ensuring compliance with RSA, licensing and venue procedures
· Driving a positive workplace culture where staff enjoy coming to work
We're looking for someone who has:
· Previous experience managing a high-volume pub, bar or hospitality venue
· Strong leadership and communication skills
· Excellent knowledge of beer, wine and cocktails
· A calm, organised approach under pressure
· A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
· Current Victorian RSA
· Availability to work nights, weekends and public holidays
