Responsibilities and Duties
- Preparing, cooking and presenting/garnishing food according to our cafe’s unique taste
- Maintaining, examining and monitoring kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves and grills
- Ensuring the quality of the food produced
- Understanding food storage standards and issues of cross-contamination
- Preparing, planning and adapting the menu to suit customer’s special dietary requirements or preferences
- Train and support other kitchen staff
- Liaise with other staff to serve customers well
Skills and Required Experience
You must have:
- At lease a Certificate III in Hospitality or a higher qualification in Hospitality
- Minimum 1 year experience working at a restaurant
- Attention to details
- Flexible work attitude and good team work as well as the ability to work unsupervised
- Good organisation and time management skills in a busy environment
- Knowledge and skills in preparing cured meat is preferable
Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
