Position: Full-Time
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: $93,600 per annum plus superannuation
Bowline Marine is seeking an experienced and motivated Diver to join our team on a full-time basis.
The successful applicant will undertake a variety of underwater operations, including seafood gathering, marine research support, salvage activities, and underwater construction and maintenance work.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Dive underwater to perform seafood harvesting and collection activities.
- Conduct underwater inspections and assist with marine research projects.
- Perform salvage operations involving the recovery of equipment, vessels, and other objects.
- Assist with underwater construction, maintenance, and repair works.
- Operate and maintain diving equipment and associated tools.
- Comply with all workplace health and safety requirements and diving regulations.
- Prepare dive plans, risk assessments, and operational reports.
- Monitor underwater conditions and ensure safe diving practices at all times.
- Work collaboratively with marine crews, researchers, and project managers.
- Maintain accurate records of diving activities and equipment maintenance.
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant diving qualification and certifications.
- Minimum two years of relevant professional diving experience.
- Strong understanding of commercial diving safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to work in varying marine environments and weather conditions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding underwater tasks.
