As Australia's digital economy continues to accelerate, Siemens is playing a critical role in enabling the next generation of data centre infrastructure. Through our Electrification & Automation business, we deliver innovative power distribution, automation, digitalisation and energy solutions that support hyperscale, colocation and enterprise customers in building resilient, sustainable and high-performing facilities.
With strong growth across the Australian data centre market, Siemens is expanding its dedicated team and seeking an experienced LV Solution Architect – Data Centres to help design and deliver next-generation LV power solutions across complex, mission-critical infrastructure projects.
This role sits within the Data Centre vertical sales team and reports to the Head of Data Centres. It offers a unique opportunity to shape low voltage design strategy across some of the region’s most advanced data centre developments, working directly with customers and through key partner networks.
The Opportunity
You will be responsible for driving growth across Siemens’ low voltage switchboard and product portfolio within the data centre segment, with a strong focus on technical solution design, cost optimisation and modular innovation.
Working closely with Sales, Engineering and the Data Centre Vertical team, you will design and influence LV architectures including switchboards, PTUs and kiosks, ensuring solutions are technically robust, scalable and aligned with modern data centre requirements.
You will also play a key role in positioning Siemens’ LV offering within the broader end-to-end data centre portfolio, including MV/LV power distribution (up to 33kV), digital twin and planning software, PLC-based process control systems, and integrated BMS, security and access control solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and optimisation of low voltage power systems for data centre applications
- Develop innovative LV switchboard, modular distribution, PTU and kiosk solutions aligned to customer requirements
- Drive cost-out initiatives through technical design innovation and value engineering
- Support customers, consultants and partners with LV system design and technical expertise
- Collaborate with Sales and Engineering teams on bids, proposals and solution development
- Position Siemens LV solutions within broader integrated data centre architectures
- Provide technical input across the full project lifecycle, including design, delivery and commissioning support
- Engage with partner and channel networks to support LV product deployment and adoption
About You
You are an experienced Solution Architect or senior technical specialist with strong expertise in low voltage systems, particularly within switchboard design, modular distribution and LV product applications. You bring at least 5 years’ experience in electrical engineering or a related discipline, ideally within the data centre, critical infrastructure or power distribution sectors.
You have strong knowledge of LV systems, installation practices and relevant industry standards. Experience with medium voltage systems (up to 33kV), modular switchboard design or estimation will be highly regarded, though not essential.
You are commercially aware, technically confident and enjoy working in collaborative environments where innovation and problem-solving directly influence customer outcomes.
Location
East Coast Australia, with a preference for Melbourne. Sydney or Brisbane will also be considered.
Why Siemens?
At Siemens, you will contribute to some of the most advanced data centre infrastructure projects in the region, working at the forefront of electrification and digitalisation.
