About the Role
As a Program Officer at Lake Dewar you will be on the front lines of delivering unforgettable experiences. You won't just be running activities; you'll be creating a safe, engaging environment where young people can challenge themselves and grow. Working closely with teachers and group leaders, you will ensure every program hits the mark, balancing fun with valuable learning outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:

Delivering impact: Facilitating a range of outdoor programs and activities for visiting schools and community groups, ensuring they are delivered safely and effectively.

Creating connections: Liaising with teachers and group leaders to understand their goals and ensure learning outcomes are achieved.

Program excellence: Assisting in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of diverse programs tailored to different groups.

Equipment care: Maintaining program equipment to ensure it is safe, functional, and ready for the next adventure.

Lake Dewar Discovery Camp is an adventure camp located just 60 minutes from Melbourne, and managed by Y Discovery Camps. Nearby to the Werribee River and surrounding gorges, and catering to schools and groups year-round, the team at Lake Dewar Discovery Camp run a variety of programs and activities to suit every group, from stand-up paddle boarding, canoeing and raft building, to a relaxing spot of fishing.
